If you are someone that likes the hands on approach that is. So that has to be taken into consideration. If you can't make good recordings with that then i don't know what to say.The surface control of the 003 console is extremely well integrated and covers a lot of ground. that would be my recommended setup in the price range and bang for the buck.
#EBAY DIGI 003 PRO#
No Pro Tools, but honestly, IMO, the 003 is not worth the moolah.Īll that would be in a price range at about 2,100-2,500 to start with good clocking, overall da and 2 channels of great ad for two nice pres of which you could buy one now for a total of 9 pres 1 being your money pre then buying another pre later. The Presonus line is miles above what's in the 003.
#EBAY DIGI 003 PLUS#
Plus the 003 sounds like overpriced cock and balls. But if I was anyone right now, I would not be buying LE hardware. For 3,000 easily you may be able to run HD Native. Plus wait a few weeks to see if anything on the PTHD front comes out. If you can't make good recordings with that then i don't know what to say.This. Then a rosetta 200 could be had for around 1,000 on ebayĪll that would be in a price range at about 2,100-2,500 to start with good clocking, overall da and 2 channels of great ad for two nice pres of which you could buy one now for a total of 9 pres 1 being your money pre then buying another pre later. i don't get all these people saying yeah buy one but don't use it for anything and put a rosetta 800 on it with your own plete waste of money on a dongle to use le! better off buying a 2626 and some external pres then the next buy should be better conversion.you would have a lot of ins with that setup! or if you want to be really cheap get the maudio lightpipe and a converter with pres.Ģ626 is around $545 last time i checked b&h sale.
if i needed to use protools i would buy a m audio 2626 and hook up better converters.the pres are very usable for back up and there are 8 of them. that's a waste of money just to use protools le. What is the point in buying a 003 if you are just going to hook up better pres and 's just a 1,500+ dongle. Invest wise the first time around and it will make things a lot more achievable in terms of quality and cost down the road. I made many mistakes when i started and would have done it different and after wasting money i'm finally on the right path to be able to do what i want to do and retain a certain quality without having to spend 4,000 every upgrade. when spending over 1,000 on any gear i think this should be taken into consideration if you want to grow and not shoot yourself in the foot.
I can't afford a nice 8 channel converter earlier this year but now selling my rosetta 200 plus $800 on top it looks like i can because it retained it's value. the thing with rack gear is you can take it anywhere you go with your studio and swap things out. it sucks to blow 2,000 and find out hey now i have a extra $900 to play with and would of been able to flip the other things i bought but now it doesn't have much value.
#EBAY DIGI 003 UPGRADE#
I try to buy quality rack gear when possible to retain value for when i want to upgrade and cash out.
sure it will get the job done but that would be investing into it more and possibly be something you lose money in the long run.
#EBAY DIGI 003 MODS#
I don't know about the signature mods either as any long term investment especially with the new avid stuff coming out.
